Located in the City of London, 63–66 Coleman Street is a full building refurbishment project that retains the original external façade while completely demolishing and rebuilding the internal structure.
Controlled Ltd was successful in a competitive tender process to deliver the design and installation of the fire detection and alarm system, disabled refuge system, and gas suppression system.
This was a particularly challenging design, as all front-of-house areas were open plan with polished concrete finishes and colour-coded black electrical accessories. The most suitable solution was the Apollo Reach range of wireless devices, commissioned into an Advanced MxPro5 addressable system, complete with a software interface linked to the Building Management System (BMS). The disabled refuge and toilet alarm system installed was the robust Baldwin Boxall Omnicare system.
Three gas suppression systems were installed to protect the Comms Room, UPS Room, and Electrical Intake Room, with full event notification integrated into the BMS.
Controlled Ltd continues to provide ongoing preventative and corrective maintenance, along with remote system monitoring.
