Controlled Ltd was commissioned for the Design, installation, commissioning and on going Preventative Maintenance of a Vesda Aspirated early warning smoke detection system to cover a high level inaccessible ceiling void and front of front of retail house area.

The Vesda system was commissioned to a Ziton ZP3 fire alarm system with point detection and manual call points covering back of house and fire escape routes. The Ziton ZP3 fire alarm system was commissioned to signal into the Westfield site wide Siemens Fire alarm system.

The decision to install a Vesda System was because of the high level and inaccessible layout of the retail area ceiling void for ease on going service and maintenance and for aesthetics in the front of house retail area.

Pre-system design of pipe runs and calculated airflows ensured that the system operated with in correct parameters both for pre-commission during construction and final completion for practical completion and demonstration the Westfield Centre Management.
