The Arts Club was founded in 1863 for people who had professional or amateur relationships with the Arts, Literature or Sciences. The Club moved to its present location in Central London’s Mayfair and underwent a complete renovation in 2011.
2011: As a Lenel VAR Controlled Ltd was commissioned for the design; installation and commissioning of an Analogue addressable fire Alarm System. The front of house finish was to be extremely high with a strict emphasis of everything being aesthetically correct and concealed. The system chosen was a Vesda Aspirated early warning Fire detection system for all front of house areas with all audible sounders concealed. This was commissioned to an Analogue addressable fire alarm system with addressable optical smoke and heat detection throughout the back of house areas.
On completion of this project Controlled Ltd was commissioned to design, supply and commission a Lenel Access Control system to manage the multiple transactions on read in and read out on all back of house exits with the database and software infrastructure capable of handling future expansion within areas of the building planned for redevelopment.
2013: Controlled Ltd was awarded the upgrade of the existing analogue CCTV system to a fully networked system. A combination of 150 Sony netwrok cameras have been commissioned onto a Genetec Omnicast open architecture system managed by the Genetec Security Center operating platform.
2015: Controlled Ltd was successful in a competative tendering excercise to provide the fire and security design & installation for the flagship Arts Club Hotel extension. A major upgrade path saw the existing Genetec Security center operating platform extended incorporating Sony network cameras, Commend intercom and Genetec Synergis access control. All administered by the Genetec Security Center seamless user interface.
